WORKSHOPS:
#1: "Beading for All!" with Mary Wroblinski, 11:30am-1:00pm
Mary will guide you through making your own applique using her tricks and hints that make beading fun and easy! With your newfound skills, you'll be able to refurbish new and old costumes, and recreate or fashion new designs. Beading isn't just for costuming . . . you can also embellish and personalize everyday clothing and accessories! All project supplies and written step-by-step instructions are included in the price.

#2: "The Art of Improvisation" with Tonya & Atlantis, 2:00-3:30pm
Join nationally- and internationally-known instructors Tonya & Atlantis as they share their extensive knowledge of the art of improvisation in belly dance. Learn to compose and perform a dance piece at the spur of the moment, without preparation, to any type of music! Tonya & Atlantis will cover elements of choreography, use of space, musicality, rhythms and personal appeal. This a must-do workshop for all dancers!

Mary Wroblinski is a professional designer and maker of costume pieces and accessories. You can see examples of her beading expertise at her shop at the festival, Happy Beaded Snakes.

Wanda Lee and Deborah are honored to bring John Bilezikjian -- musician and singer extraordinaire -- back to the Market at the Casbah stage. He'll play for your open dancing, a few performance sets, and for your listening pleasure.
CALLING DANCERS:IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Effective January 31, 2010 all recorded music dance slots have been filled; however, to the best of our knowledge, two LIVE MUSIC slots remain; if you'd like to dance to live music, please list "live" on the reservation form. For those who have already mailed their requests to dance, we'll do our best to squeeze you in, with postmark on the envelope determining priority. Please note that each dancer may dance as a member of a group OR as a soloist, but not both. It's necessary to have this policy due to the large numbers of people wishing to dance.
